the first paper i read was about how the methods section should answer two questions. How the data was collected? How it was analyzed? It said that the methods section should have a purpose to it. Make sure that the way the data was collected is revelant to the field the person is researching for. It should also tell about the problems that the researcher had in the process. The paper also talked about things that can go wrong, like unrelevant information and insufficient information.
The next article I read was a very helpful article. It broke everything into sections. They said that sometime its helpful to break the categories into sub sections: participants, materials, design, procedure. With these different subsections it helps to keep the paper organized and the reader interested. Then they gave brief examples of ways to do each subsection. The last important tip they used was to make sure to proofread the paper and not just use spell check.
