With this research I plan on using an qualitative, interview-style method. I think that by talking to the Sex Therapists and asking their questions and getting their point of view will be beneficial for my research. I don’t want to ask them “Yes or No” answers; more so more open questions that will make them think and give them more insight to the question. As my research progresses more and I collect more referee journals I will have more questions for the Therapists. But as of now I have only 5 questions; that more than likely will be altered. The way I will select my participants is through an internet search and find some Sex Therapists and email about 20 Sex Therapists both male and female from across the USA and give them my research approach and see who will be interested in helping. Then from their I will go. The interview/questionnaire will be interviewing them over the internet via email or if they feel comfortable enough to talk on the phone with me I will then ask them and record them to make sure I get all the details I need for the project.
What is your definition of Sex Therapy?
What is included in a session?
What type of exercises or assignments are given to your patients?
How do you feel about the use of aroma as an way to increase sexual feelings?
Have you ever thought or used aroma or aphrodisiacs as an exercise in your sessions?
