What I learned about the research peer review projects, was that not everyone thinks the same way. People don’t read the same way and interprets things the same thing. I also learned that its good to let other people read the paper because its good to get other peoples point of view. Sometimes ours alone isn’t the best way to get our point across.
Other peoples points of view about the paper is great! To get new ideas and fix parts of the paper a person wouldn’t of thought about. A person might have skipped over some details that they wouldn’t of noticed if it wasn’t for the person who reviewed it. Its always good to get insight from other people, even if its negative. It prepares you for the real world where not everyone is going to like your research paper. Most people might not agree with what your saying. But in reality their not your audience because your topic is not what they are looking for.
My research project personally, it was great to hear peoples feedback on my paper. Even if it was negative sometimes a wake up call is whats needed. I would personally be upset if someone gave me back my paper and it was perfect. It would be like they really didn’t read my paper. I know my perfect wasn’t perfect, it was drafts none of it was my final paper. So I already expected to have negative feedback and positive feedback from it. I truly appreciated the process.
