Creating my research project was HECTIC! I never did so much work in my life. Especially since I had to balance all my classes and intensive writing in the other classes too. Also it was hectic because I had no experience in this type of research writing. But in the end it was an great experience.

The document that was most useful to me in this process, was “Shitty First Drafts”. This was by far the most beneficial piece that helped me. Im always beating myself up when it comes to papers but then this paper made me realize that its only the first draft and no paper is really completed. Even novelists always go back to their work and want to rewrite it or find something wrong with it. This made me feel much better.

The most beneficial peice of feedback I got back was the most critical one. Where my peer reviewer demolished my paper. This was my struggle, the researcher not only helped me when it came to my paper but my character.  The way the whole situation played out was shocking and was a test of my character. If it was a different circumstance or different events then I would of went about the situation alot differently but because Im learning to learn from intense criticism it was a learning experience. But Im glad that my peer reviewer told mea bout my paper because before then I thought my paper was almost perfect but little did  I realize was that I still had alot of work to do.

The most difficult part of the research project was the editing process. Changing things around in your paper that you felt needed to be there. To actually look at my paper with a critical eye and to try to fix it appropriately. Also writing for the audience. I never know how my readers are going to look at my paper. This was also hard to do. The easiest part was picking a topic, because you had to become interested in an topic. I knew what I loved and didnt love and i knew my topic fit perfectly for me.

My final essay shows determination. The fact that I completed this paper to me is an accomplishment. I didnt give up even though I wanted to, I still felt that I pursued my goals and prove to myself that I can do it. To me that was the most beneficial part of my paper because it showed how much I have developed as a person.
